Leadership Tools for Women Conference - June 11
The Leadership Tools for Women Conference takes place on June 11th, 2010. This year, the conference focuses on distinguished women and how they approach leadership roles in their local and global communities. Speakers will discuss issues facing high-achieving women, touching on multiculturalism, leadership, service, and education. The conference is sponsored by the Institute for Community College Development (ICCD) and focuses on women working in higher education who want to heighten their understanding of contemporary issues facing women leaders. This day-long program will help women gain insights into how high-achieving women lead, the tools they use, and how they get them.
Jalaja Bonheim, Founder/Director of the ICW, will speak in a lunch program from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. Her talk focuses on women's role in global peace and planetary healing. Where we stand right now, nothing is more important than cultivating a global community of empowered women. Sharing stories from her work in Israel, Palestine, and America, she emphasizes the crucial importance of helping women claim their voices and cultivating a sense of global sisterhood.
Those wishing to attend the conference may register on the ICCD web site. Early registration ends May 14th, but normal registration will remain open until all space is filled.
