If so, taking the Circlework™ Training may be your next step. Used skillfully, circle gatherings are a potent medicine for healing ourselves and the planet.
Jalaja Bonheim, the originator of Circlework™, teaches throughout the US and Canada, as well as in Israel, where she helps Jewish and Palestinian women connect in life-changing ways. The Circlework™ Training empowers women of all ages and professions to lead circle gatherings, be it in schools, hospitals, businesses, churches, or any other arena.
The Circlework™ Training includes theoretical sections and discussion, as well as hands-on experiential practice. You will explore your personal relationship to the circle and identify your challenges and your calling in working with circles. Subjects addressed include boundary and safety issues, creating sacred space and invoking spirit, the historical development of Circlework™, the geometric elements of the circle, working with ritual, symbol, and myth; Circlework™ and the healing of the feminine, and the role and challenges of leadership. Each participant will receive the support she needs to clarify her personal relationship to the circle and to Circlework™, identify and overcome her challenges, hone her unique gifts, and acquire new skills. Apart from knowledge, skills, and tools relating to circle leadership, she will receive in-depth guidance and support to move through daily life in a state of centeredness, harmony and balance
The training will be held at Light on the Hill near Ithaca NY, a site of exquisite beauty surrounded by open land—the perfect location to delight your senses and nourish your spirit. There will be free time to hike, rest, and enjoy nature’s bounty. Private accommodations, gourmet vegetarian meals, and free pick-ups from Ithaca airport are included.

The discipline of Circlework offers a possibility of healing that I do not find anywhere else. It informs my work as a pastor and healer, for its says a profound “YES” to the reality that diversity can be celebrated and embraced with joy, that conflict can indeed be creative, that community can be lived authentically. I believe that what we are doing is the most important contribution we can make to the world’s healing. — Jacquie Lewis, Pastor
Above all, the circle gives me hope. Hope for transformation, hope for forgiveness, hope that as a healer, I can ease more than just physical pain. It allows me to know the vastness of healing; physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, global.
— Ana Maria Mihalcea, M.D., Ph.D., Internal Medicine
Circlework is life-altering. It is completely outside of any experience I have ever had. It provides deep nourishment by breaking through the isolation so many of us experience. It quenches our longing for a kind of connection that is really hard to find in our society. I believe we have to experience this level of intimacy in order to fully understand what we’re looking
for, and to trust that it’s actually available. The circle has given me the experience of true intimacy, and out of that, hope has come.
